I’ve added a few new posts to the site, stuff I found from old backups of the site from when it was powered by CuteNews. There is rather a large gap between July 2003 and June 2006 that I’m looking into (meaning I’m going to check out my stack of unordered, unsorted, CDs and DVDs that have nothing written on them…)
It would surprise some people that I’m the first to tell them to back things up and my personal efforts to backup things are patchy at best (and shite at worst.)
I think that everything in this copy of WordPress is going to be merged with the online version (and if this is now on the online version then I finally did something I said I would.)
Am writing this on my way home from work and listening to Pink Floyd. Bloody good music.
I think that the seventh version of warliss.com is ready to go live, I think I’ll also post a link to one of the mailing lists for a site check…
That’s one way to attract attention and page views…
I like the look, people I’ve shown it to so far have said it looks good, so here goes. This is my task on Saturday. Along with trying to import data from the old ‘cuteNews’ blogging software.
I’ll have to examine the way the date/time is written by cuteNews to see if I can convert it to a real date/time for inclusion in WordPress.
The third thing to do on Saturday is to migrate the live servers to the latest version of WordPress too (v2.1).

I’ve had to do some thinking around a slight problem with the theme. The problem is one of how to have a menu displayed containing links for non WordPress portions of warliss.com.
So I thought about it, had a coffee and biscuit and thought about it.
Then I stopped thinking about it and worked on something else. (more…)
I’ve been looking at guitars again, this time to replace (yes you heard me, replace) my acoustic.
I’m thinking about getting an electro-acoustic and ‘upgrading’ from my old (and somewhat trusty) Tanglewood SG-BK, the black acoustic with seaguls on the scratchplate, sounds strange I know, but it plays well, for the price I paid.

Ok, maybe I should justify that comment there, it’s the feedback that I’ve received from friends who have seen this new version of the warliss.com theme.
One said the background at the top looked like it had a flying hedgehog in (good luck if you can spot it, I can’t!) and another friend said it looked like a battle scene with a leg being blown off.
Can’t think why I took both as a compliment…
