xml news feeds

Posted on Saturday, July 30th, 2005 at 21:16 in Development No Comments »

A while back I wrote a php script that parses xml news feeds (rss and similar technologies.) That script is currently being renovated and added to the new site. I will also be adding a section where such scripts will be downloadable. Free of charge.

This work has reminded me how long it has been since I’ve been writing such scripts and how much I’ve forgotten. Well here I go on that gentle learning curve again.

More news when it’s available.

warliss.com v4.0

Posted on Wednesday, July 27th, 2005 at 22:09 in blog 1 Comment »

Well after such a long time, about 4 months I think, I’ve finally got warliss.com back up and running.

I must thank the guys and gals at hosting-unlimited as they have provided excellent support to get the site back. Big shout outs to ya!!

I want to be able to add lots of new stuff to the site and I’ll add entries when I can. I may also be expanding to a couple of other things, the D&D thing wednesdayknights.com has died a death but talking to a few friends has lodged a new RPG type site in my head, so I’ll be working tirelessly (well kinda!) to try to get this up and running.

There will also be a research part back again too, where I’ll be trying new stuff with programming and all things net related. That is net as is internet not stockings!!

I’m still taking photos and I’ll be putting a gallery together soon(-ish) of my work, and others if I can find anyone foolish enough to participate.

Finally there will be a ‘secret’ music based thing, but more of that when I have the details.

Whats this then?
